JFC is a company that provides value to society through innovation in fine ceramics, "Fine CeramiX." We aspire to be a "company where each employee can have dreams and demonstrate their maximum potential," and thus "a company that contributes to society with trust and technology."

Under the vision of "Fine CeramiX" (transformation of fine ceramics), JFC continues to develop innovative technologies for growth markets such as semiconductors and EV. "Fine CeramiX" goes beyond mere material development and includes technological innovation and optimization of manufacturing processes to expand the new possibilities of fine ceramics. For example, we are challenging ourselves to manufacture products efficiently and with high quality by utilizing digital technology, such as analysis and evaluation by AI, and remote monitoring of production equipment.


In particular, in the field of decarbonization, we have succeeded in mass-producing products for the automotive industry (EV) using our own unique manufacturing method, which has been highly praised internationally and is paving the way for the future of the fine ceramics industry. We have built a new factory on a 125,000m² site in Tomiya City, Miyagi Prefecture, strengthening our mass production system and looking to expand into the global market. At the same time, we continue to value our ability to respond to the needs for small-lot, high-mix production with a flexible and precise manufacturing system, and maintain the strong trust of our customers with our technical capabilities that meet advanced and detailed requirements.

An organizational structure that values ​​initiative and draws out on-site capabilities

JFC has adopted a matrix of functional and business unit organizations and has five manufacturing bases in Japan. This structure allows us to build trust while responding to customer needs in detail, leading to expectations for technological development and accompanying them in realizing the dream of revolutionary products.

Our greatest strength is the "on-site skills" of each individual on-site who thinks, acts and solves problems independently. Research and development members have individual themes and work directly with customers and research institutes outside the laboratory. At the manufacturing site, a cycle of independent improvement activities such as TPM is in place, and we are working to reduce production losses.

Furthermore, JFC continues to grow by proactively incorporating new technologies and diverse values ​​through multiple M&As. Due to the trust and achievements of our corporate culture, we are often approached by other companies about acquisitions, and we evolve by fusing people with different backgrounds.

As a member of the JGC Group, we also contribute to solving global issues in the fields of energy and pharmaceuticals. We aim to make further leaps forward by combining the stability of a major group with the flexibility and mobility of a medium-sized company.

Since its founding in 1984, JFC has continued to grow through co-creation based on trust and technological innovation. It started as a third-sector research and development company, and then expanded its business with full capital from the JGC Group. It has also strengthened its product and organizational capabilities through technical collaborations and business mergers with other companies.
